High speed ultra high precision machining can take creativity to a whole new level...if only it was not so: a) expensive b) complicated. You guessed it, both options are right!
This smart technology is used for creative tasks that require incredibly smooth and precise movement, eg. milling, lathe work, grinding, 3D printing etc.
It is not an exaggeration to say that this is a one of a kind technology. The entire process is controlled by CAD (computer aided design) and CAM (computer aided manufacturing) software programs which can follow extremely specific design patterns. The machinery is used by creatives in various industries to produce complex tools, machines or artworks.
The downside is that the whole package comes with a price tag so heavy that most independent creatives or small businesses simply cannot afford it. Also, most devices which use the technology are too big in size for an average facility.
Having been a machinery enthusiast for many years I have decided to use my existing knowledge to disrupt the current status quo. The machines I want to build get their accuracy from air bearings, a very thin layer of air with near zero friction and zero wear, no matter for how long the machine operates. Basically, they could run nonstop without wearing out, as long as it has a source of pressurized air.
My main goals are very simple: to produce high precision machining at an affordable price and simplify the machining operations so that they were understandable for less experienced users.
